We had the pleasure of photographing Silvia and Saul’s wedding, a beautiful celebration and a perfect way to wrap up our wedding season! Their big day took place on a crisp fall day, beginning with a heartfelt ceremony at Saint Mary Immaculate in Plainfield, IL, and a cozy, stylish reception at Sable Creek Homestead.

Silvia and Saul chose sage green as the main color of their wedding, which added a refreshing, natural feel to their day. The bridesmaids wore stunning sage green dresses, while the groomsmen complemented them in gray and black outfits with matching sage ties. The colors carried over to the reception, where floating candles and lush white and green floral arrangements adorned the tables, with green and gold votives casting a warm glow.

Silvia looked timeless in her A-line dress with long sleeves, featuring sheer lace detailing and a dramatic cathedral veil. Saul was equally dashing in a classic black suit with a bow tie and crisp white shirt. Later in the evening, as the dance floor opened, Silvia changed into a chic sleeveless tube dress, ready to celebrate with her family and friends.

Sable Creek Homestead provided the ideal setting for the reception, with its cozy charm perfectly matching Silvia and Saul’s vision. One of the most touching moments came when Silvia’s siblings dedicated a song just for her, and they surrounded her on the danced floor for a special dance.

For me, one of the highlights was capturing those sunset portraits. It’s always such a calming time of day, and the golden light beautifully complemented the warmth and love shared by Silvia and Saul. These moments are the perfect reminder of why I love what I do.

We feel incredibly grateful. Each couple has brought their unique love story, and Silvia and Saul’s day was a wonderful way to end the year. I’m so excited for next season and can’t wait to capture even more unforgettable moments!

Hammel Woods Session: THE ARREDONDOS

Kayla and Andrew’s canoe session at Hammel Woods in Shorewood, IL, was a perfect blend of romance and adventure. Despite some last-minute worries about the weather—it had been raining and windy for days, and the morning started off cloudy—the skies cleared just in time for their session, giving us the most beautiful conditions to work with.

Kayla looked stunning in a flowing pink dress, while Andrew opted for a classic look with a navy shirt and brown bottoms. Their pups, Luna and Belle, were the sweetest little companions. Both small with curly brown fur, they wore yellow bandanas that added a playful and coordinated touch. The pups behaved perfectly throughout the session, sitting calmly and soaking in the peaceful surroundings of Hammel Woods.

To add a special touch to the canoe, we adorned it with purple and yellow mums and comfy pillows, creating a setting that was both romantic and adventurous. The vibrant colors popped against the natural beauty of the river and surrounding greenery, enhancing the overall vibe of the session. The scene felt like a page out of a storybook.

The session was filled with laughter and love, with the sunlight filtering through the trees and reflecting off the water. Luna and Belle sitting perfectly still in the canoe as if they knew this was their moment to shine. The combination of the beautiful scenery, the decorated canoe, and the love between Kayla, Andrew, and their pups made every shot feel so special.

The mood was just right—playful yet serene, adventurous yet intimate. It was a perfect representation of who Kayla and Andrew are as a couple, sharing a beautiful moment with their beloved fur babies. This session will always be a favorite, capturing the romance of the setting and the joy of being together, out in nature.

Butterfly Cake Smash: SOFIA

A Magical Butterfly-Themed Cake Smash Session │Cake Smash Photographer │ Joliet, IL

Celebrating Sofia’s first birthday was such a special and fun experience! We had the joy of photographing her butterfly-themed cake smash in our home studio, and the soft pastel colors and details truly made the session magical. We embraced shades of purple, pink, and blue pastels, with beautiful touches of wisteria and a few gold balloons to bring the butterfly theme to life.

The setup featured a stunning balloon garland, two mini arches with delicate florals, and of course, my signature twinkle lights — which I always love including in cake smash sessions. They added just the right touch of sparkle to Sofia’s big moment.

Sofia started the session a little shy, but after a few minutes of singing El Patito Juan, we had her giggling in no time! For the first part of the session, she wore two adorable pink dresses. When it was time for the cake smash, Sofia changed into a cute purple overall that fit the theme perfectly. Her joy and curiosity made the session even more fun.

The cake, a beautiful purple creation, was topped with a "ONE" cake topper featuring a butterfly — simple yet fitting for this lovely theme. Sofia was a bit hesitant with the cake at first, since she had never had sweets before. But even though she didn’t dive into the cake right away, the photos we captured are absolutely adorable. Watching her gently explore the cake with curiosity made for some truly sweet moments. Every expression was priceless, and capturing these special firsts for Sofia was such a joy
