We had the absolute pleasure of capturing a dreamy maternity session for Ivan and Linnett at one of our favorite hidden gems—the waterfalls in Worth, IL. This was our first time meeting them, and they were so easygoing and kind throughout the entire session. It’s always an honor to meet new families, especially during such a special and exciting chapter in their lives.

Linnett looked stunning in a flowy blue dress paired with a delicate flower crown that added the perfect romantic touch. Her look stood out beautifully against the lush greens and soft light of the waterfall backdrop. Ivan complemented her look with a blue button-up shirt and khaki pants, keeping the overall vibe natural and coordinated. Since there are no nearby bathrooms at this location, we kept things simple with no outfit changes—which honestly worked out perfectly. Sometimes, less is more.

The session had a romantic, nature-inspired feel, which is exactly what we love for maternity photography. As the sun began to set, the golden light filtered through the trees, giving us the most magical glow. There’s something so peaceful and full of hope about photographing an expecting couple during golden hour—it feels like the perfect reflection of the journey ahead.

This is Ivan and Linnett’s first baby, and their joy was so sweet to witness. They smiled, laughed, and embraced every moment during the session, making it a truly heartwarming experience. Their connection and excitement made it so easy to capture beautiful, authentic moments.
