Waterfall Glen Maternity Session: NIKKI

We’ve been so busy lately, but I’m so glad to finally share this beautiful maternity session with Nikki and her growing family! It took place a couple of weeks ago at the gorgeous Waterfall Glen in Lemont, IL—a location that never disappoints. The trees were fully green and blooming, and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, we found one pink tree standing tall in the middle of it all. It was such a sweet touch, especially since Nikki and her husband are expecting a little girl!

This was our first time meeting them, but they were so easy to work with—gentle, loving, and full of joy. Nikki looked absolutely stunning in her green embroidered dress, with a slit on the leg and her hair down. She later changed into a soft pink dress, which paired beautifully with the green surroundings. Her husband complemented both looks perfectly, first in a light brown top with black bottoms, and later in a green shirt to match the natural tones around us.

One of my favorite parts of the session? Their sweet dog! She was just the cutest and did such a great job. They also brought along a few props, including tiny baby shoes—those always tug at the heartstrings. I know their baby girl is going to be so loved.

The weather turned out to be just right. We were a little worried since it had been raining a few days before, but thankfully everything cleared up. It was warm, but the breeze kept us cool and made for such a comfortable session.

It was such an honor to capture this beautiful chapter for them—first baby, blooming trees, and a whole lot of love. Nikki, thank you for trusting us with this special time in your life. I know your little girl will look back at these photos one day and feel just how loved and celebrated she was from the very beginning.
