On a windy, gloomy morning in Joliet, we had the honor of capturing Natalie and Carlos’ courthouse wedding—and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

The couple said their vows on May 17 at the Joliet courthouse. It was just the two of them and the two of us documenting every moment. Sometimes the smallest weddings hold the biggest emotions, and this was definitely one of those days.

Natalie looked stunning in her dress and cowboy boots, and Carlos matched her vibe perfectly with his tejana and cowboy boots. They were emotional and full of joy, with plenty of laughter mixed into their short but sweet ceremony.

We stayed inside for the ceremony photos and then stepped outside for portraits. The weather gave us moody skies, wind, and the kind of natural movement that photographers dream of. One of our favorite moments? The way the wind caught Natalie’s hair—those candid shots were totally worth it.
