A Beautiful Celebration in Nature: Maria and Jorge's Wedding at Whispering Woods
Last weekend, we had the absolute joy of capturing Maria and Jorge’s wedding at Whispering Woods in Harvey, IL. This wasn’t just any wedding for us—it was the continuation of a relationship we’ve been privileged to build with their family. We first met Maria and Jorge at Yazmin’s wedding, Maria’s daughter, where we also had the honor of capturing the couple’s special day. So, when Maria and Jorge chose us to document their own wedding, it felt like reuniting with old friends.
Whispering Woods is truly a gem. The venue spans 40 acres of native forest, complete with tall, majestic trees, serene ponds, and graceful willow trees that seem to dance with the wind. The natural beauty of this place provided the perfect backdrop for Maria and Jorge’s wedding. With such an awe-inspiring environment, they wisely chose to let nature be the star, needing little in the way of additional décor. Their choice to use elegant orchids as centerpieces and gold runners on the tables complemented the venue’s natural beauty without overshadowing it.
