The celebration of transitioning from a girl to a young woman is huge in the Hispanic culture. With the big dress and party, the last doll given by the parents, it just calls for a day full of fun, laughter and nonetheless full of many mixed emotions.
Jesenia was such a pleasure to work with. She was so upbeat and happy and as you can see, the camera absolutely loved her. Her dress took our breath away! The glimmering of gold just made the red pop even more.
Jesenia changed into her dress for some photos which were amazing, but I think our favorite part was watching this brave happy young woman get on a horse for some stunning shots! We were in awe!
Her shoot took place at Rancho Los Guzman in Joliet, Il. Embracing her heritage with picking a beautiful venue with beautiful stables almost as if taken right out of Mexico and the design of her dress made us so excited. We can't wait to photograph her again next month.
