The further into fall we get, the more beautiful these wedding shoots come out. The best part is getting the beautiful hints of oranges and reds with whatever green it is left. Melissa and Timothy’s wedding definitely gave us more than we could have asked for on a perfect sunny day.

We had the pleasure of doing Melissa and Timothy’s engagement shoot back in September so coming back together was fun. We started the day at Francis Xavier Church in La Grange, IL. We were astonished by how adorable and sophisticated the church looked it was a literal mini cathedral that just begged to be photographed.

Having worked with them previously, I distinctly remember that feeling of curiosity, where we just couldn’t wait to see what the big day would look like. Seeing Melissa come down the aisle left us speechless, and judging by Timothy’s face, well she made him smile and blush as he admired her coming towards him.

After the ceremony and some family portraits at church, we met with them at Woods Forest Preserve in Willow Springs where we got even more beautiful photos of Melissa. She has a subtle natural makeup look that shines through just perfectly with the sun. We were able to capture more intricate work of her dress. Of course, we had to get some photos of the handsome groom but most importantly we got that “love in the air” that we felt when first did their engagement shoot!

Capturing both of them together even gave us butterflies, it was as if the universe itself was yelling to the world that these two souls not only were meant for each other but had found one another! What can we say? We are total romantics.

Once done at the forest preserve it was time for some real fun. The Mr and Mrs jumped into a limo and went on their way to the venue. Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills, IL is where we were to celebrate our couple, and what a celebration it was indeed!

There were beautiful chandeliers hung along with many mini ones on the walls. In the center of the floor was a huge very yummy looking three tier cake. Flower centerpieces decorated every table and the chopper scheme, blue and rose gold looked amazing.

What we really loved about the party is that we know that Melissa is Hispanic and Timothy is Polish, they both incorporated their heritage into their venue. There were cute mini conchas along with other Hispanic sweets and yummy polish sausage and other polish snacks.

Now the fun really started the minute the bridesmaids walked into the room in shark blow-up costumes and started hyping up the crowd, all while the groomsmen walked in with marshmallow face masks. The perfect way to get all guests up and dancing and cheering for Melissa and Timothy.

The night was definitely far from over but it there was one thing for certain, there was not one single person who wasn’t either dancing, laughing, or crying tears of joy. We enjoyed being a part of helping collect those memories and we hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them. Have a perfect Happily Ever After Melissa and Timothy!

Mabery Gelvin Botanical Gardens Wedding: DANA + NICHOLAS

​This weekend was what felt like a wedding straight from a fairytale book. A beautiful crisp sunny morning to start what was an incredible celebration.

We had the pleasure to have met Dana and Nicholas when we did their engagement shoot earlier in the year. We were so excited to be able to work with again and the common interest we shared was like being there with longtime friends.

Right off the bat, we started our day early in the morning as there was a two-hour drive ahead of us. The drive was foggy and a little chill, but as we went on the sunrise and fog lifting reassured us it would make for a great day for an outdoor wedding.

We met Dana and Nicholas at a beautiful white home, an Airbnb they rented, where the bride and her bridesmaid had the first floor to themselves while Nicholas and his groomsmen had the second floor.

Immediately we fell in love with the fall colors they chose, burnt orange and gold. Dana’s dress was a beautiful off-shoulder flowy dress with long sleeves it reminded me of almost a fairy queen in a garden, and after hearing that they wanted a garden theme we knew we were in for a beautiful wedding.

Both Dana and Nicholas opted for a first look, we were so excited to be able to get these photos in front of their ​Air​bnb, with the greenery in the white home in the background our bride and groom were radiant. Dana wore a beautiful flower crown that emphasized her in all her beauty, Nicholas was a very handsome groom with a matching boutonnière and navy suit.

After the first look we drove to their to the Mabery Gelvin Botanical Gardens for the ceremony, this is where we knew that Dana and Nicholas indeed have their fairytale wedding. There was a beautiful river with a rock waterfall with orange and green plants all around, the day at that point was shining and we captured some amazing photos. We love a red bridge we saw and just could get enough of the pictures we took. The way Dana’s bridesmaids dresses shined with nature surrounding them was astonishing. The ceremony was just a beautiful experience and knowing that their families traveled from out of town to be there for them was just absolutely fantastic.

After the ceremony we met with them again at Lake of The Wood Forest Preserve for the venue where they had a food truck making personal pizzas, it was honestly such a wonderful experience to be there. We got such great pictures of not just Dana and Nicholas but of their friends and family and of course the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

We truly enjoyed the entire day, we love working with amazing couples and we love doing what we do. It’s experiences like these that make our job so much fun that we forget it’s an actual job, being in the moment with them just makes all this so worth it, so a huge thank you and big congratulations to Dana and Nicholas, we wish you all the happiness this world has to offer!

What could be better than fall?

A fall-themed wedding that is! Such an amazing weekend we had with Griselda and Juan. Their story from the very start really showed us just how much of their personalities they incorporated into their special day.

Griselda and Juan’s story begins roughly around nine years ago when they both decided to give online dating a chance. To their surprise, they found each other’s profiles. A couple of messages led to a phone call, a phone call to many more and finally a decision was made to meet in person.

Seeing them together now we would have never guessed that they both were so incredibly nervous for their first date, but of course, we weren’t shocked to hear that they actually hit off right of the bat and immediately felt that connection that they felt by only listening to each other.

For a couple of years, they dated and got to know each other better, which now leads us to be here helping them retain memories of their special day!

We started off the day by arriving at Griselda’s and Juan’s home, though only Griselda was home while Juan was already at the venue awaiting her arrival for their “first look”.

Immediately while arranging her dress with her accessories and her bridesmaid's dresses we fell in love with how she tied the color we correlated fall with into her wedding, it made for a “perfect” feeling.

Her dress had just the perfect slit to show off that emphasized walk, the long sleeve made for that “perfect chill” vibe, and her hair was in an updo that perfectly brought out her personality. It truly just brought HER into everything and we were living in that moment for it!

Once we arrived at the venue it was no surprise to us that it was outdoors, not only was the day and time perfect for being outside but we knew from their questionnaire that while they each have their own hobbies, they do enjoy being in the outdoors, so the golf course was the “nail in the head.”

We loved the respected favor that both Griselda and Juan’s family followed, which was that all guests could, at the same time, take out their phones and snap their pictures and then to please silence and put them away. Not only was this an amazing gesture to avoid distraction but it made it for an intimate moment and we were able to fully capture the ceremony and guests.

After the ceremony, we all headed inside to really start the party! Of course, we had those emotional dance numbers, our bride and groom, and our bride with her parents.

The night ended with so much laughter, happy tears, and a lot of dancing. There were lots of glow sticks all over that we swore we were in a nightclub, a beautiful nightclub of course. Every bit of this wedding was amazing and we were so grateful to have been chosen to help out. A huge thank you and a big congratulations to our newlyweds!
