Christina and Christopher’s wedding was definitely a memorable one for us! They both love Harry Potter, and when we found out their wedding was Harry Potter themed, we had to find a quote that exemplified them and their relationship—and the above one definitely does!
Christopher is a firefighter, and we are so thankful for his service to his community. He and Christina exchanged vows at Kendall County Fairgrounds in Yorkville, IL. Although it was mostly cloudy throughout the day, we did have some sun peeking through that we were able to use to our advantage with their portraits. Earlier in the day, when Christina’s mother saw her daughter dressed in her wedding gown, tears filled her eyes and it was very moving! When Christina and Christopher exchanged their vows, they really fit their fun personalities…they were lighthearted and made their guests smile. It was evident Christopher was besotted with his beautiful bride—he was all smiles throughout the morning and the ceremony.
Christina wore a sleeveless, empire waisted gown with a lace bodice and a beaded headband. Her bridesmaids wore black, and their flowers were a bright and beautiful! Christopher wore a white jacket and their attendants wore matching ties and sashes to represent the different houses in Harry Potter.
At the reception, the newlywedded couple sliced their cake with a fireman’s axe. The children enjoyed a bouncy house and board games. The entire day was lighthearted, fun, and filled with smiles and laughter. We were so grateful to get to work with such an energetic bridal party and witness such a beautiful day filled with love, laughter and smiles. Christopher and Christina have definitely found their treasure in one another and we wish them a magical marriage! Thank you for letting us capture your day!
